I really love Mother Grimm, so I’m always happy to test for her. This is the Lammes Tide Top / Dress . A very feminine design with pretty sleeves. They are cut with the bodice, dolman style, so you don’t even need to go through the hassle of putting them in. There’s a whole whole lot of options. 4 sleeve lengths, 4 dress lengths and pockets! Sizing roughly runs from uk0 to uk32. the size charts doesn’t go by numbers tho, but by stones, which makes it a bit hard to explain what I made.

It comes in 3 length sizes, I made the regular. be sure to check you look at the correct listing cause they are sold separately and in bundles. I love the fit, it’s spot on and very comfy. It’s an easy quick sew, a beginner def. can manage.

I used a thin cotton jersey by Megan Blue Fabrics . I love how it drapes with this pattern. The white band is also a cotton jersey. I decided to do a lettuce hem also in white. I’ll surely make more of these!

Ik ben echt heel gek op Mother Grimm, dus ik test graag voor haar. Dit is de Lammes Tide Top / Jurk . Een heel vrouwelijk ontwerp met prachtige mouwen. Deze zijn aangeknipt aan het lijfje, dus je hoeft niet eens mouwen in te zetten. Er zijn een hele hoop opties , 4 mouw lengtes, 4 jurk lengtes en zakken! Maten lopen van uk0 tot uk32. De matentabel gebruikt geen nummers maar stenen, dus is het een beetje moeilijk om uit te leggen wat ik maakte.

Het is er in 3 lengte maten, ik maakte de ‘regular’. Let goed op wat je koopt, moest je het kopen. Je kan alle lengte maten apart kopen en in bundels. Ik vind de pasvorm helemaal top, zit goed en heel comfortabel. Het is een snel klaar project, niet al te moeilijk, beginners kunnen er helemaal voor gaan.

Ik gebruikte een dunne katoen tricot van Megan Blue Fabrics . Ik vind dat deze prachtig valt met dit patroon. De witte band is ook een katoen tricot. Ik besloot om een rolzoom ook in het wit te doen. Ik maak er zeker nog!

Beltaine Fires Tunic Mother Grimm

I’m a huge fan of Mother Grimm, she makes fun designs! I got the chance to test her new tunic and it’s a winner. The Beltaine Fires Tunic is such a fun design with a ton of options! I really love you can choose pockets, cause well pockets! There’s a round hem, hanky hem, color blocking options etc. The sleeves are cut on the bodice, so they are very easy.

I love all things swingy, so this is a winner again in my book! The plain option without pockets sews up in just about 20 minutes or so and it’s not difficult at all. It’s beginner friendly for sure. (the pockets can maybe be more challenging for a beginner, but I’d say doable!)

It comes in sizes XXXS to 5/6XL, they use a chart without numbers, so it’s kinda hard to explain what I made. I did grade between 3 sizes. It also comes in 3 heights, I made the regular. I made all mine out of drapey fabrics as viscose and dbp. you can use cl, but it’ll be a more boxy look.

Beltaine Fires Tunic Mother Grimm
Ik ben een grote fan van Mother Grimm, zij maakt super leuke ontwerpen met een hoekje af! Ik kreeg de kans om haar nieuwe tuniek te testen en het is een winnaar. De Beltaine Fires Tuniek is zo’n tof ontwerp met een hele hoop opties. Je kan zakken als optie kiezen, wat geweldig is , want…zakken!! Er is een ronde zoom en een zakdoekzoom (noemen wij dat zo lol?), color blocking opties etc. De mouwen zijn aangeknipt aan het lijfje, dus die zijn supermakkelijk.

I hou van alle swingy dingen, dus dit is echt een winnaar in mijn ogen! De “simpele” versie zonder zakken gooi je ineen in een minuut of 20 en het is totaal niet moeilijk. Het is zeker en vast te doen voor een beginner. (de zakken kunnen misschien net iets moeilijker zijn voor een beginnende naai(st)er, maar ik denk ook te doen!)

Maten lopen van XXXS tot 5/6XL, ze gebruiken een maattabel met stenen , dus het is nogal moeilijk uit te leggen wat ik maakte. Ik heb iig tussen 3 maten gegradeerd. Er zijn ook 3 hoogtematen, ik maakte “regular”. De mijne zijn allemaal uit viscose stretch of dbp. Je kan katoen tricot gebruiken, maar dan valt het minder vloeiend.
