Priscilla Top

This is a story all about how my top got a hole and I didn’t know! And I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there and I’ll tell you how I fixed the hole with flair. Lol

Anyways, this is The Priscilla Top from Mamma Can do it. As you know, I like swingy tops, so I fell in love immediatly with the line drawings. And it delivers! Fit is great!! I made a size 18w bust, 20w waist, 22w hips. sizing is very extensive and runs from 00 to 40w. and there’s girls and baby sizes too!

I opted for the tankversion, a sleeve is included tho, from short till long. The hem is a cute handkerchief hem (I looove those) You can make the top in a jiffy and it’s beginner friendly for sure. I used cotton jersey.

So the hole. I cut out the fabric, sewed the top together, put it on, looked in the mirror and I was all happy, cause I liked what I saw. I needed to hem so I take it off and then I see a hole in the back! Very noticable sadly. I decided I didn’t want to give up, so I put on a reparation patch on the inside and I cut a parrot with my cutter and put that on the outside. I can hardly spot where it is myself and I know where it is, so I think I did good fixing that 😀

Iig, dit is The Priscilla Top van Mamma Can do it. Zoals je wel weet hou ik van swingy tops, dus ik werd al direct verliefd toen ik nog maar de tekening van deze top zag. En het stelt niet teleur! De pasvorm is super. Ik maakte maat 18w buste, 20w taile en 22w heupen. Het matenbereik is heel uitgebreid van 00 tot 40w en er is een versie voor meisjes en baby’s!

Ik koos voor de tankversie, een mouw zit erbij, van kort tot lang, dus dat kan ook. De zoom is een zakdoekzoom (die vind ik zo leuk). Het is zo geknipt en zo klaar en het lijkt me goed te doen voor een beginner. Ik gebruikte katoen tricot.

Oke, het gat dus. Ik knipte de stof, naaide het in elkaar, deed het aan, werd blij, want het is leuk. Ik doe het weer uit en wat zie ik? Een gat vanachter! 😮 Heel zichtbaar en best groot! Mijn oplossing is geworden, reparatiedoek langs de binnenkant en dan heb ik een papegaai uit flex gesneden en dat erop geperst aan de buitenkant. Ik weet waar het is en moet alsnog telkens ff zoeken, dus goed gedaan van mezelf :D.
